Biography:
Annarita Baldan works as a scientist at VSL (former NMi Van Swinden Laboratorium), the metrology institute of The Netherlands, since 1999. She has a wide expertise in the preparation and certification of reference materials and in the organization of proficiency testing schemes. She is chair of the running European funded project BIOREMA.

Focus of the EU project BIOREMA is the feasibility of preparing standard materials for the measurement of biofuels. The project is an example of research work towards realization of global standards and it represents a successful example of collaboration at world-wide level.
