Charles Nielsen is responsible for corporate R&D and innovation in DONG Energy with focus on development of a more sustainable and efficient energy system through focused activities within biomass and waste, bio-refining and bio-fuels, development and integration of further amounts of wind, local energy production, new demands and flexible customer solutions.

Presentation of the DONG Energy vision, strategy and concrete plans for the conversion of the Danish based utility from an 85% dependency on fossils to an 85% dependency on renewables before 2040. The presentation will deal with off-shore wind, utilization of a wide range of biomass resources, new biomass and bio-refinery concepts, bio-fuels, integration, the need for flexible loads and new demands for electricity - HP and EV's.
