Dr Eeva Viinikka is the Program Director in Culminatum Innovation Ltd Oy. Background in research (PhD in electrochemistry of conductive polymers in Helsinki University of Technology, 1999) boosted with industrial experience from Okmetic, a silicon wafer manufacturer (1999-2007, e.g. new product development for MEMS), Dr. Viinikka has been running the Nanotechnology Centre of Expertise in Helsinki Region since 2007 and will be coordinating the National Nanotechnology Cluster Program starting 2011.
"Identifying the best practices of commercializing nanotechnology"
The NANOCOM project has been working to identify the barriers and the best practices necessary to accelerate faster market uptake. The first results of identifying the success factors, based on questionnaire data provided by 300 European nanotechnology companies will be introduced. In addition, some Finnish practices to foster innovation and the growth of nanotech based business are introduced.
